🔵 Isoperimetric Inequality

With the same fence length,
to enclose the largest area, circleis the answer

If you enclose land with a fence of exactly the same length (perimeter), which shape gives you the largest area? There is no need to choose among a triangle, square, hexagon, and circle — the circle always wins. Compare them yourself.

The Isoperimetric Inequality: When the perimeter is the same fixed value L, no shape can have an area greater than that of a circle with radius L/(2π). Observe how the area tends to increase as the number of sides grows and the shape gets closer to a circle.
