When all lines converge at one point, depth emerges
Even lines that are actually parallel, like railway tracks, look three-dimensional on paper when drawn as if they converge toward one point (the vanishing point) in the distance. Drag the vanishing point and see how the box and road change.
Principle: The world looks smaller to our eyes as it gets farther away. Even truly parallel lines (railway tracks, building edges) appear to meet at one point in the distance, and that point is the vanishing point. Artists establish this point first and draw lines toward it to create depth.
