🟩 Pack Squares Inside a Circle

How many squares can fit in a round space?

Try placing as many square chocolates as possible inside a round pizza box without overlap. Click inside the circle to place a square (it cannot extend outside the circle or overlap another square). When you're done, compare it with "Auto-fill."

Packing problem: This is the problem of arranging shapes as efficiently as possible in a limited space. It is called a packing problem. Squares are usually most efficiently arranged in a regular grid.

Change the square size and see how many you can fit. Smaller squares fit more, but they also leave more gaps near the circle's edge.
